New Lifts
Throughout the European Union (EU), the installation of new lifts is subject to Directive 2014/33/EU, which was incorporated into Greek law by Decision No.39507/167/F.9.2 (Government Gazette 1047/B/13-04-2016) and sets the conditions for the placing on the market and putting into service of new lifts.
When placing a lift on the market, installers must ensure that it has been designed, manufactured, and tested in accordance with the essential health and safety requirements set out in Annex I.
Only when the lift has undergone an assessment procedure carried out by a notified body to demonstrate conformity, may the installer draw up the relevant written declaration of conformity and affix the CE marking, which are the conditions for putting the lift into service.
TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS as a notified body is authorized to carry out conformity assessment of new lifts throughout the European Union.
