In this way, it demonstrated once again its leadership in the aspects of corporate social responsibility, environmental respect and its commitment to sustainable development.
The verification was carried out by the Accredited Certification Body TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS, which is leading once more through the provision of innovative services that contribute to the environmental protection and sustainability.
Having the business excellence as primary aim and with sense of responsibility towards society and people, METKA adopted environmentally responsible practices in all business activities applying an integrated Greenhouse Gas Emissions Management System according to ISO 14064 and trusted the certified verifiers of TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS for its audit.
The standard ISO 14064-1:2006 specifies the principles and requirements for the quantification and the submission of greenhouse gas emissions reports (GHG). This standard is an important tool against the climate change, as enables companies to manage effectively their gas emissions and to show the relative improvements in this field.
