On 23rd and 24th of May, the 2nd transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ project METVET was successfully conducted in Karlsruhe, Germany. Results and conclusions concerning the List of Joint skills already developed for the technicians in the aluminum industry were communicated and presented to partners. The aim of the project is the future development of a professional (qualification) profile for this specialty, the core curriculum (EQF 5), the corresponding VET program, including innovative teaching methods for professionals and a qualification standard for their competencies’ evaluation and certification, according to ISO/IEC17024 and ECVET.
The project’s 1st thematic workshop also took place during the meeting’s first day, with the attendance and active participation of relevant experts and trainers. The interactive discussions of attendees highlighted the differences in legislation and national methodologies in partners’ countries that should be taken into consideration when designing the professionals’ profile, the curricula as much as their European Qualifications Framework (EQF) correspondence.
