Detailed Description

TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS is a body accredited by the Hellenic Accreditation System (E.SY.D.) for the periodic inspection, in accordance with paragraphs 5 and 6 of Appendix 2 to Annex 1 to the ATP Treaty, of vehicles transporting perishable products (ATP), in accordance with:

– Joint Ministerial Decision 57687/5114 (Government Gazette Β’70/27.01.2012)

– Joint Ministerial Decision 50786/3319 (Government Gazette Β’2418/10.09.2014)

The service provides a significant enhancement to the quality and safety procedures of enterprises’ fleet with international activities, such as supermarkets or food manufacturers, as well as their subcontractors. At the same time, it offers significant added value to these businesses, a factor that has the potential to function as a considerable competitive advantage domestically.

More specifically, this accreditation refers to periodic inspections at three year intervals, which verify whether the vehicle refrigeration unit along with the refrigerating machine can manage to reduce the temperature, within a specific – predetermined time period (6 hours), from the original ambient temperature to a specific – required temperature (0οC, -10οC or -20οC).

The most common case is FRC type vehicles, the initials of which are interpreted as follows:

  • F: mechanically refrigerated equipment;
  • R: reinforced insulation;
  • C: -20οC temperature.
