The Certification in intended for specialised professionals involved in metal cutting, shaping the edges to be welded, assembling and connecting the metals using back-stitching, welding them, as well as cleaning up and deburring their joint following the completion of welding, in accordance with the manufacturers’ and design engineers’ instructions. The Certificate is intended for the specialisation: “Technician for arc fusion welding with covered electrodes”.

Certification Procedure

The professionals are assessed via an examination mechanism that consists of a theoretical and a practical examination.

Upon successful completion of the examinations (theoretical and practical parts) the professional is awarded a certificate of compliance that is valid for four years.

The Certification procedure for this specialization is Accredited by the Hellenic Accreditation System (E.SY.D.), in accordance with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17024 International Standard.
