TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas recently participated in the 25h International Fair “Agrotica” that took place at the International Exhibition Centre from 30 January to 2 February 2014 in Thessaloniki, Greece. TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas had its own booth about 24 m2.
Agrotica is one of the biggest international exhibitions of professionals from the agricultural sector where all the latest developments in Machinery, Equipment and Services from all over the world are presented. With attendance of over 120.000 people, it was the most successful Agrotica fair of the last decade! The number of visitors in total at this year’s AGROTICA was 270% higher than that of the 2012 event.
Many visitors came to TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas’ booth and were particularly interested in its activities in the agrifood sector. TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas’ auditors and executives gladly took the opportunity to come closer to farmers and companies and present them the integrated and accredited services in the certification of the organic products and the Food Safety Management Systems (especially ISO 22000, GLOBALG.A.P.). High interest was also noticed at the agricultural sector’s training programs, as well as how the certification can contribute to the growth and promotion of the export agrifood activities of the companies.
