TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS has recently completed successfully the second surveillance audit of the Energy Management System of the Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) according to the EN ISO 50001 requirements.
The international standard ISO 50001 specifies the general requirements for the creation of a System for the Energy Management in a company and focuses on spotting of chances for energetic improvement. RAE, through the Energy Management System which has been applying to its building since the end of 2013 and has the certification stamp of TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS, demonstrates its contribution to the national and international effort for the rational energy use and the reduction of consequences from climate change.
RAE, through the two-year application of the Certified Energy Management System, succeeded in saving on energy 48% in gas consumption and 21% in electricity consumption.
TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS is a Certification Body in Greece, which is accredited for ISO 50001 by E.SY.D. and, in combination with its experts, fully undertakes the Energy Management Systems Certification guiding companies and organizations to the rational exploitation of natural resources and taking necessary measures for energy saving. The fact that the Energy Management System of RAE’s building constitutes an example of a good attitude towards energy in Greece, shows the same time the important role of TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS in this project.
