TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas, the leading group of holistic services in Certification, Training, Technical and Industrial Inspections, Certification of Professionals’ Qualifications, Legal Compliance Services, Laboratory Analyses and Testing, Digital Learning Solutions and integrated cybersecurity services with a state of the art SOC (Security Operations Center), inaugurated its new facilities in Heraklion, Crete, on Wednesday June 19th. The event was attended by numerous guests, including representatives from the political world and local authorities. In its new and modern offices at 3 Menelaou Parlama Street, the branch of TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas, with a team of more than 55 experienced employees and partners, 40 of which are permanent and exclusive employees, continues to consistently and professionally support the professionals and businesses of Crete.
The new branch of TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas starts its operation in modern office premises that meet the strictest sustainability and workplace quality requirements, marking a milestone year for the company, as TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas celebrates 30 years of dynamic presence in Greece. By strengthening its presence in Crete, a region of Greece with an intense and multifaceted business activity in key sectors of the Greek economy, such as Tourism and the Primary Sector, the company aims and commits to fully meeting the needs of all Cretan businesses. In this context, TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas is also investing in innovation with reliable and effective steps, as it has consistently done over the years. In Crete, the holistic coverage of the company’s portfolio is signified by the inauguration of its new facilities in Heraklion.
The inaugurations was conducted by Mr. Ioannis Kallias, Managing Director of TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas, Regional Manager Greece-Cyprus-Balkans and Executive Vice President Service Lines of TÜV AUSTRIA Group, who welcomed the attendees along with Mr. Fanourios Ximerakis, Director of the Crete Branch of TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas, addressing the guests and welcoming everyone to the new era of the company.
Among other things, Mr. Ioannis Kallias stated: “The opening of our new and modern offices in Heraklion is a pleasant occasion for us, as this year TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas celebrates 30 years of dynamic presence in Greece. With our combined forces, we now have a nationwide reach, as we operate in Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion and Rethymno in Crete, Mytilene, while we also maintain our presence in 2 places in Cyprus, (Larnaca and Nicosia) with two distinct companies. We are close to society, focusing on safety and sustainability, supporting the economy of the local communities where we operate and contributing to their substantial development. 
In his speech, Mr. Fanourios Ximerakis mentioned, among other things, that the inauguration of the new offices of TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas in Heraklion is a milestone for the company’s operations in Crete. With a team of over 55 experienced staff members, TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas’ Heraklion branch in close cooperation with the TÜV AUSTRIA Labs laboratories in Rethymno, aims to support Cretan businesses and enhance their services and products. During the event, greetings were also addressed by the Members of Parliament for Heraklion, Avgenakis Lefteris and Kefalogiannis Konstantinos, the Deputy Regional Governor of Crete, Vamvoukas Michalis, the Deputy Mayor of Heraklion, Agrimanakis Giorgos, the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Crete, Alifierakis Manolis, and the President of the Heraklion Hoteliers Association, Chalkiadakis Nikolaos.
