TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas is undertaking a significant initiative to support Greek local agri-food entrepreneurship by sponsoring the on-site visits of the business accelerator program “AgroAnelixi – Farmers of the Future,” organized by the New Agriculture New Generation organization.
The program is addressed to farmers, livestock breeders, beekeepers, cooperatives, producer groups, and cottage industries, aiming either to improve existing or develop new, high-quality, competitive agri-food products. Businesses that complete the program become more resilient and competitive, thereby supporting the local production ecosystem.
The participating businesses take part in in specialized training workshops where they gain practical entrepreneurial knowledge and guidance for creating new, differentiated, and competitive products. They also receive personalized consulting support from experienced market professionals, tailored to their specific needs, at no financial cost.
During the on-site visits, representatives of New Agriculture New Generation and TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas visit the participants’ production units to provide customized educational support that meets the specific needs of each business. Through this process, participants strengthen their knowledge and skills in critical areas, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools to produce high-quality and safe food products.
The “AgroAnelixi” business accelerator is implemented by New Agriculture New Generation, with the founding donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). The program is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.
So far, the program has supported 100 agri-food businesses across Greece and has contributed to the development and distribution of 90 new products in both the Greek and international markets. The businesses that have benefited from participation become more sustainable and competitive, strengthening local economies and value chains, and contributing to the country’s regional development.
The program runs for six months and supports a total of 12 businesses from across Greece.
