ISO 29993 describes a quality management system for outside formal education services with the aim of managing these services at a stable level.

Detailed Description

The ISO 29993 standard was created out of the need to systematize training service organizations based on the same basic principles regardless of the subject matter or area of operation. The focus of the ISO 29993 standard and the system created is on the educational needs and objectives of the learner. On the basis of these elements the program is structured, monitored and its effectiveness is examined.

Who Is it Addressed To?

The education service quality management system, in accordance with the requirements of ISO 29993, may be applied to an organisation or part of it offering outside education services (other than basic and compulsory levels of education).

What Are the Certification Benefits?

Some of the advantages of implementing and certifying an education service quality management system are:

  • The creation of specific documented procedures describing the operation in the organization, resulting in the ability to operate independently of the availability of specific individuals (e.g., the Curriculum Manager, Director, etc.).
  • The measurement of processes and procedures and the orientation towards the satisfaction of the learner’s objectives.
