Throughout Europe, the regulatory framework for periodic inspection of in-service lifts is set out by state authorities, in order to ensure that they continue to operate safely.

TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS offers all services related to the periodic inspection of lifts according to the Joint Ministerial Decision with no. Φ.Α/9.2/Οικ. 28425/1245 (Government Gazette 2604/Β/22-12-2008).

According to the mentioned Ministerial Decision, the periodic inspection of lifts is mandatory and it is performed exclusively by Accredited/Authorised bodies.

Building owners/managers have to ensure that in-service lifts are inspected periodically, at specific intervals.
