TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas awards ELEMKA S.A., a subsidiary of METKA S.A., certification in accordance with the international standard ISO 19650‑2, which relate to Building Information Modeling (BIM) during the project delivery phase. The certification is granted within the framework of an accredited certification scheme developed in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17065 and accredited by the Hellenic Accreditation System (ESYD), ensuring impartiality, technical competence, and reliability of the conformity assessment process.
ISO 19650‑2 standard defines the requirements for Building Information Modeling (BIM), and constitutes an intelligent, digital 3D modeling process used in the construction sector. It facilitates the simultaneous collaboration of all involved parties, reducing errors and failures, while enabling more effective organization, planning, and maintenance of the project, even after construction. Furthermore, it promotes interoperability allowing the exchange of information between different software platforms. This ensures transparency, consistency, collaboration among stakeholders, and risk reduction throughout the entire project lifecycle.
The standard applies to all types and sizes of projects and infrastructures, regardless of complexity or procurement model, as well as to organizations of any size involved in managing and producing information during project implementation.
