TÜV AUSTRIA Academy will host, for the first time in Greece, the specialized SA8000 Advanced Lead Auditor Training, organized by the international body Social Accountability International (SAI).
Program Objective
This course is designed for experienced social auditors who have conducted audits against the SA8000® Standard, in accordance with the requirements of Social Accountability Accreditation Services (SAAS).

Prepares participants to act as effective internal auditors or as auditors for accredited certification bodies under the SA8000 scheme. - Compliance and Continuous Improvement
Supports organizations in implementing effective management systems that drive continuous improvement, ensuring better working conditions, worker safety, fair treatment, and overall ethical performance.
Program Structure
- Online Prerequisite Training
- In-person Classroom Training at TÜV AUSTRIA Academy
The training focuses on:
- Compliance issues across industries and regions
- Advanced auditing techniques through case studies and role-play exercises
- Tools for assessing social performance (e.g., living wage, overtime, freedom of association, supplier control)
- Interview techniques with workers, NGOs, and trade unions
Includes audit simulations, document review, drafting non-conformance requests, and conducting opening and closing meetings.
Certification
Upon successful completion of both the online and classroom components, participants will take a final exam and receive the SA8000 Advanced Auditor Training Course Completion Certificate.
Eligibility Requirements
- Completion of the SA8000 Introduction & Basic Auditor Training and passing the exam at least 6 months prior.
- Participation in at least two SA8000 audits as a team member under the supervision of a qualified Lead Auditor.
- Basic to medium-level English proficiency.
