The 2nd meeting of the partners of the European Project “MICROIDEA – MICRO-credentials: Identifying, DEveloping, testing and Assessing innovative approaches” took place on December 10 & 11, 2024, in Cyprus. During this meeting, which was hosted at the facilities of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the partners presented the progress of the project so far, confirmed the time schedule for the various tasks, and agreed upon the next steps.
The project’s MICROIDEA – “MICRO-credentials: identifying, developing, testing and assessing innovative approaches” objectives are:
- the development of a micro-credentials’ assessment system based on the requirements of the International Standard ISO/IEC 17024
- the development of a specific methodology for the harmonization between the national certification systems (where they exist, for non-formal training) and ISO/IEC 17024 certification
- the development and implementation of a web-based tool for the analysis of skills’ needs
- the implementation of the micro-credentials assessment system based on the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17024 International Standard for a professional specialty in the tourism sector.
