Driving quality, certification and excellence in vocational education for the smart electricity in buildings sector
San Sebastián (Donostia), Spain – TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas took an active part in the 3rd Transnational Project Meeting (TPM3) of the European project SEBCoVE – Smart Electricity for Buildings: Centres of Vocational Excellence, held on 12–13 May 2026 in San Sebastián, Spain, bringing together the full European partner consortium.
Co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme (project no. 101144027) under the Centres of Vocational Excellence initiative, SEBCoVE aims to develop a modern vocational education and training model for the smart management of electricity in buildings. During the meeting, the consortium moved from design to practical implementation, focusing on the 24 professional profiles (EQF levels 3 to 6), the micro-credentials, the LMS learning platform, and the upcoming pilot training activities.
TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas, played a central role in the project’s quality work. TAH presented the quality assurance framework as a cross-cutting project-management tool rather than a mere compliance exercise — covering risk management, the Quality Control Plan, the Quality Indicators Register, internal audits and impact-reporting preparation.
As coordinator of the project’s Quality Team, TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas is responsible for validating the quality tools, conducting the next internal audit (to be finalised by September 2026) and developing the Evaluation Register. It also contributed to the discussion on certification based on the ISO 21001 standard (for VET providers) and certification schemes based on the ISO 17024 (for micro-credential certification), reinforcing the credibility and sustainability of the SEBCoVE training model.
Its participation reaffirms TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas’ lasting commitment to advancing quality, transparency and excellence in vocational education and training across Europe, contributing its expertise to a project with a tangible impact on the future skills of the energy sector.
