TÜV AUSTRIA in Greece has successfully completed the certification of the company “MINOAN LINES S.A.” in accordance with the international standard ISO 27001:2022 for its Information Security Management System.

The certification concerns the implementation of an Information Security Management System with a scope covering the “Provision of Maritime Transport Services” and includes a total of eight company facilities and operational sites: Heraklion Headquarters, Heraklion Port Ticket Offices, Piraeus Headquarters, Piraeus Port Ticket Offices, Igoumenitsa Port Ticket Offices, the vessel KNOSSOS PALACE, the vessel FESTOS PALACE, and the vessel KYDON PALACE.

By implementing a certified information security management system across all land-based facilities (headquarters and ticket offices) as well as the vessels under its management, “MINOAN LINES S.A.” strengthens its internal processes, reduces the risk of information security incidents, and enhances its competitive advantage in both the Greek and international passenger shipping sector.

At the same time, the company upgrades the services offered to passengers both on land and at sea, including electronic payments via PoS terminals and onboard internet services, confirming its commitment to information security management and the continuous improvement of customer experience.

The certificate award ceremony took place at the premises of “MINOAN LINES S.A.” in the presence of executives from both companies. The certificates were presented by Mr. Ioannis Kallias, Country Manager of TÜV AUSTRIA in Greece, and Mr. Dimitris Damianakis, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 22301, ISO 20000 & ISO 42001 Scheme Manager.
